The Osceola County School District will be expanding the Dual Language Program at Kissimmee Elementary in order to provide students the opportunity to participate in this highly-effective program. The main goal of this program is to provide a research-based educational model that effectively develops high achieving, bilingual-bi-literate students. Students will have the opportunity to learn a second language, as well as enhance fluency in their native language. Grade level instruction will be delivered in English and Spanish.
This exclusive opportunity to attend a Dual Language Academy at Kissimmee Elementary or Ventura Elementary will be offered to students in Grades K-1 for the 2012/2013 school year. Students zoned for Central Avenue, Highlands, Flora Ridge, and Pleasant Hill Elementary Schools; Celebration K-8; and Thacker Avenue Elementary for International Studies can apply to attend the Dual Language program at Kissimmee Elementary.
